Volunteer Sign Up for the 2022 Golf Tournament

Role responsibilities & expectations
The Imagine Housing Golf Tournament will support affordable housing on the Eastside and the services that we offer to the 1,400 people who call an Imagine Housing community home.
We are looking for volunteers to support us on Monday, August 29th, 2022 to help make this event a success!

Required qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • For certain roles, must be able to lift 25+ lbs
  • Volunteers will receive breakfast/lunch/dinner (per relevant shift), and breaks
  • Follow golf club rules in regards to mask wearing and social distancing, per CDC guidelines
  • Attire must be golf-course appropriate: Bermuda shorts, skirts, or pants, with polo shirt
  • We may be providing branded polo shirts – you can indicate your size below, but we ask that you plan to wear your own white shirt
  • Volunteers may be standing in sun for extended periods. Please bring sunscreen. Water will be provided.

Volunteer Roles

Set Up
Volunteers needed: 2
7:30am – 8:30 am

  • Assist in setting up signage on easels
  • Assist in setting up the registration table, raffle table, and silent auction table
  • Place (2) water bottles in all of the golf carts

Volunteers needed: 3
8:00am – 10:00am

(1) volunteers:

  • Direct golfers to registration  

(2) volunteer

  • After golfers register, direct them to the driving range/putting green for practice before teeing off 
  • Assist golfers in finding their golf carts and direct them to their starting hole

Volunteers needed: 2
7:30am – 10:30am

NOTE: registration volunteers must commit to attending a 30 minute training with our Donor Engagement Manager between August 22 – August 24. Date and time TBD.

  • Assist in setting up registration  
  • Assist in checking-in golfers 
  • Market and sell additional packages 
  • Must feel comfortable operating computer technology – laptop and event-specific software training will be provided

Putting Contest
Volunteers needed: 2 total, 1 per shift
8:30am – 12:00pm
12:00pm – 3:00pm

  • Run the putting contest on the practice green 
  • Record winners 

Hole in One Contest
Volunteers needed: 4 total, 2 per shift
9:30am – 12:30pm
12:30pm – 3:00pm

  • Serve as a witness for this potential hole in one! 

Awards Party Silent Auction, Raffle and Check Out
Volunteers needed: 2
1:00pm – 5:30 pm

  • Assist with moving silent auction and raffle tables to Awards Party section
  • Check golfers into awards party area and distribute bid cards
  • Supervise silent auction area and assist golfers with placing bids
  • Sell additional raffle tickets prior to the start of the  Awards Party program
  • Assist with closing silent auction, collecting bid sheets, and delivering to Event Manager
  • Hand out gift bags to golfers as they depart
  • Extend thanks to golfers on behalf of Imagine Housing
  • Give auction and raffle winners their items prior to their departur

Live Auction Recorders
Volunteers needed: 1
1:00pm – 5:30 pm

  • Record bidder numbers and winning amounts of live auction package winners


We will try to match you with your preferred role, but we reserve the right to reassign volunteers based on need. When selecting preferred volunteer roles in the sign up form, please do not select the same role multiple times.
