As we all reflect on 2022, it is likely that we all can celebrate the incremental changes that were happening as our community emerged from the rigors of the pandemic. At Imagine Housing, we took steps to ensure that our mission to develop more affordable housing, build welcoming communities, and foster vibrant futures continues to be embraced by Imagine Housing staff and Board at all levels. This included finding an Executive Director with expertise not only in affordable housing but also its importance on the Eastside. Today, we have renewed our commitment to support housing for those working in jobs based on the Eastside and to keeping seniors in their lifelong communities.
We are honored to partner across 13 cities on the Eastside and to have Samma Senior Apartments in construction in Bothell. By the end of 2024, in the heart of Bothell, over 70 residents will have a place to call home that they can afford, as well as a welcoming community of support and the dignity they deserve.
Support has come from cities, individuals, corporations, King County, faith communities, foundations, and special funding to address the area’s need for more housing. In this report you will see how your commitment is changing lives for the 1,530 residents who found affordable housing and supportive services during the last year.

STABILITY ONE FAMILY AT A TIME
Meet PennyMarie, a resident who moved into her home at Imagine Housing with her two children in May of 2019. Since then, PennyMarie has become an advocate for herself and her neighbors.
ON THE HORIZON
Now under construction in Bothell and anticipated to open in 2024, Samma Senior Apartments will have 76 permanently affordable studio apartment homes for seniors over 55 years old.
It is conveniently located on the Sammamish River, close to public transit, the Northshore Senior Center, and within walking distance of downtown Bothell.
