John

John was living in Redmond in a beautiful apartment with a new car when the plant where he worked closed.  He was forced to start his job search in the midst of the economic downturn.  Living on unemployment and his savings, he eventually ran out of money and became homeless.  Then John became one of the first veterans to move into Andrew's Glen. Read more...

The Eastside’s leading nonprofit developer of affordable housing

who we areIn 1987, Imagine Housing began life as St. Andrew’s Housing Group – the dream of community members determined to make East King County livable and affordable for our neighbors in need. In 2011, we changed our name to Imagine Housing to more broadly reflect our mission to build and operate permanent affordable rental communities and provide support within those communities.

Today, we are making dreams come true for hundreds of Eastside families and individuals, while making our community more vibrant and prosperous for us all. Imagine Housing’s 12 residential communities provide 427 affordable rental homes to nearly 1,000 people. And we offer the targeted services and support that our residents need to be stable, self-supporting and contributing members of our vibrant Eastside community.

Our Mission
Imagine Housing empowers individuals and families, supports diversity and strengthens communities by developing permanent affordable rental housing and providing supportive services.

Building Homes. Building Community.

Building homesImagine Housing is the only nonprofit organization in East King County
dedicated solely to developing affordable rental homes for the very lowest income families in our community and to supporting their efforts to lead more successful lives. By offering stable housing, education, guidance and encouragement to our residents, we build hope, improve economic vitality and strengthen community for everyone who lives on the Eastside.

We are changing lives every day. Read about a few residents whose lives have been changed by Imagine Housing.
